Producer Tee-Y Mix in a recent interview advised producers who are going into music to make sure they produce equally good work.
This was born out of the recent trend of producers venturing into music. He stated that producing a song is also part of the artistic process and any producer who wants to pick the mic should ensure that they’re not only doing it for the money.
It’s no secret that artistes earn more than producers but this shouldn’t be the main reason for dropping a song.
He stated:
…either as a producer or an artiste, it is all part of the process of being artistic…
My only issue is if you must do it, do it well. If you’re coming out as an artiste and you’re a producer, do it well…
