Slimcase is not about that international record deal right now. In fact, he does not seem to want it. But will he reject it when he gets one?
The breakout star, who is regarded as one of the pioneers of the neo-street/shaku-shaku music movement said to hell with an international record deal.
Why? Slimcase explained in a recent interview with Planetradio TV that international record labels are often too demanding.
The artist said he cannot meet with their demands and he is unwilling to even meet it.
“It’s not a bad idea but I don’t do international labels. I don’t do international things; I do local things. I’m the one selling it out,” Slimcase said.
“Not that they’d now come, they’d buy it from you and they’d now change your style [because] ‘you know, we hardly hear what you’re saying. Why not add a little posh?’”
Slimcase maintained that he is satisfied with his sound the way it is and doesn’t want it to be tweaked to suit the taste of international audiences.
“If you can’t buy it this way leave it like that.”
