Ghanaian dancehall star, Shatta Wale, has challenged Ghanaian musicians to stand up to their Nigerian counterparts if they were ever going to command respect in their craft.
The singer in an interview with Kasapa FM explained that many of his contemporaries were often too timid when they were around Nigerian artists.
Shatta Wale said it was high time they (Ghanaian artists) start to consider their Nigerian counterparts as equals.
“I will not see Wizkid and be stunned, I rather want him to see me and be amazed because I don’t see anything extraordinary about him, even though he claims to the best African artiste,” he said.
