Paul Okoye aka Rudeboy is the headline artist for this year’s African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
The award ceremony will take place at the Intare Conference Arena in Kigali this Saturday.
The Ex-Psquare member will perform on a night when the best African movies are honoured.
Nigerian actress, Nse Ikpe-Etim and Rwandan comedian, Arthur Nkusi will host the 2018 AMAAs.
Also, three other Nigerians were nominated for best first feature film by a director.
Jade Isiburu for “Isoken”, BB Sasore for “Banana Island Ghost”, and Onyeka Nwelue for “Ogwuetiti Obiuto”.
Nollywood movies: “Banana Island Ghosts”, “Isoken”, “Hakkunde”, “Hotel Called Memory” and “Crossroads” all earned several nominations.
South Africa’s “Five Fingers For Marseilles” leads with nine nominations.
Other films nominated include Malawian “The Road To Sunshine”, “In My Country”,
Ghanaian and Algerian films also got nominations for other categories in the awards.
Meanwhile, Rudeboy will appear on a live entertainment show, “The Jam” during his time in Rwanda.
