Reminisce: People Were Not Ready For “Ponmile” 

Baba Hafusa Reminisce has affirmed that he was delighted with the warm response and critical acclaim his latest single, “Ponmile”, was receiving across the country.

The artist revealed to HIPTV that he had wanted to record the song since the last three years, but he felt his audience were not ready for it.

He said he began to reconsider recording the song after debuting his fourth album, “El Hadj”. 

“This time around I feel like I have four albums already I should be willing to take risks. I took the risk and it’s paying off.” 

Alaga Ibile was also full of praise for the efforts he and his team put while making the song, describing it as “carefully structured, carefully planned, and carefully crafted”.

“People like it, even my kids sing it. You know, it feels good after all these years, we still pop. It feels good.” He said.
