Legendary Nigerian Reggae singer, Ekeleke Elumelu well-known as Ras Kimono has died aged 60.
According to a Channels TV report, Ras Kimono died in a Lagos hospital after a brief illness.
Details of the cause of his death are yet to be made public.
Ras Kimono became famous with his debut album, Under Pressure which was a big hit in 1989.
His song, “Under Pressure” became one of the most conscious music that chronicled Nigeria’s socio-political problems.
His music was greatly influenced by the poverty, inequality and hardship he witnessed in his early life.
