Akon, owner of Konvict Music Worldwide has announced Nigeria’s ace music video director, Patrick Elis as the new official cinematographer for the African branch of the label.
The very popular cinematographer has worked with the big names in the Nigerian music industry including Tekno, Kiss Daniel, Phyno and even Wizkid. He shot Wizkid’s very first video ”Holla At Your Boy” which brought him to the limelight.
The Delta born director studied cinematography in the United States and had a brief stint with the old Nigezie before branching out on his own. He’s been in the business for ten years and there is no more perfect recognition of his hard work than this.
Akon made an unofficial announcement by posting a video on Instagram and advises those who have formed a relationship with Elis to hold on tightly to it as he’s about to become really expensive.
