Orezi has pushed back the release date of his follow-up album to February 2019. This album was supposed to be released before the end of 2018.
The album does not have a name yet, but Orezi told Pulse in an interview that the album is almost done.
This new album would succeed Orezi’s 2017 debut, The Gehn Gehn album.
“Yeah, I am building up to my second album, I was planning to release it this year, but I have moved it to February 2019,” he explained.
The singer said he moved the album release forwards because he did not want to release the project for the sake of just putting it out.
“I feel like the year is getting to an end, so I don’t want to just jump into releasing an album for the sake of it.”
Orezi said he has finished working on the album, except that he is waiting for his collaborators to submit their verses.
“The album is 80% ready, I am just waiting for a couple of verses from my collaborations and it is done.”
The “Shuperu” crooner said he is working Patoranking and South Africa’s DJ Maphorisa on the new album.
The likes of Popito, who produced “Shoki” and “Shuperu”, Killertunes, Sarz, Del B and DaPiano are some of the producers Orezi is working with.
“I am trying to make an all-around album, that will suit everyone, there is a lot of dance-hall, a bit of Gqom and Afrobeats.”
