Odunsi has explained some of the decisions he took while making his debut album, rare.. The artist released rare. early October.
The debut project has since reached acclaim from industry critics. Odunsi had a sit-down with Hot 93.3 FM radio in Lagos recently.
During the interview, he told the hosts about his decision to feature powerhouse, Davido on the album.
Odunsi stated that at the time of recording the album, he didn’t think it needed the appearance of a powerhouse to be successful.
Asked if he the album needed the boost, Odunsi said:
“Not as at when I made the album.”
DMW boss, Davido appeared on “divine”, a track off rare. the song has turned out to be one of the fan’s favourite off Odunsi’s project.
However, the singer said he was confident the album was going to be accepted by music lovers.
“I knew people would like it. Became it’s a good song. When I think about music it all be like: really good; just being okay or being bad. I don’t really add sentiment to it”
Odunsi claimed when an audience doesn’t have prior knowledge of whom a musician is and they still enjoyed the music, then “that is great music”.
