Adegoke Odukoya popularly called Ade Bantu of the famous BANTU band in his latest interview with HipTV has stated that Nigerian artists need to stop the trend of seeking western validation as their biggest market remains Africa.
According to him:
”You don’t need a Grammy award, you don’t need an Oscar to know that you’re good. You don’t need to have a collaboration with Drake or any other artist that’s hot”.
He however added that he isn’t begrudging artists who have done and are doing this but it does nothing for proving the relevance of the artist.
