In 2014, Afropop singer  Minjin left Kennis Music on the expiration of his record deal. The singer has signed another record deal with a new label called Swaga Records, which is owned by Frank “Big Mic”Jerome but he still had some unkind words for his former employers.

In a recent interview with HipTV, when referring to his time at Kennis Music he said this –

It’s not just about when a label has a big name that makes you a hip artiste. It’s a label that’s ready to invest money. A lot of labels have big names but they’ll not invest their money.

Minjin Adewale was discovered in 2010 during the Centage Musical Contest -a music/talent contest organised by Kennis Music.He released a number of singles and videos when he was signed to the company including Bunga and “Coupe Decale (Remix)” ft. Iyanya and  The singer left Kennis Music around the same time as former label mates, Capital FEMI, Essence and Jaywon, on the expiration of their contracts.
