The third season of The Voice Nigeria is in its fourth week and we’ve seen great to not so great auditions from contestants.
The most striking till date was when Sandra Osamor took the stage last weekend to render her version of Nigeria’s national anthem.
The 25 year old graduate of Covenant University and one time winner of Miss Ideal Nigeria had the judges and audience in a spellbind. As soon as she started, everyone rose to their feet in honour of the anthem.
Sandra, a classical singer, is the founder of music platform, Vocal Chords Nigeria. The initiative creates awareness for social causes and assist the less privileged in the society.
All the judges pressed their buzzers for her and she eventually chose to be a part of Team Timi, a decision which was fueled by her ability to relate to his music more than the rest of the judges. His song ”Great Nigeria” greatly inspired her, hence her choice.
