The #SunnyOnSunday concert held yesterday in honour of King Sunny Ade on the occasion of his 70th Birthday.
The event which took place at the Temple Balmoral Marquee, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, was put together by Temple Management Company and hosted by comedienne Funke Akindele.
At the event, one of the Legend’s guitars which is a collector’s items was eventually purchased by an anonymous person for the whopping sum of N52.1 million naira!
Performances included other legends like Awilo Logomba, Onyeka Onwenu, Sir Shina Peters, new school artistes like Darey, Omawumi, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Iyanya, Jeff and Tyson Noir, Tiwa Savage and a host of others.
DJ Jimmy Jatt played an extended set at the night, before the honoree took the stage and thrilled guests with an incredible performance of his evergreen songs.
