Naija’s Afrojuju maestro, King Sunny Ade will no longer be performing at the annual Coachella festival.
The news of his performance was widely spread across social media when it was initially announced. He was also added to their website as one of the performing artist. His set was slated to take place either on April Sunday 16 or 23.
His name is however conspicuously missing from Coachella’s website and was also absent from the event flyer posted by Lady Gaga on Social Media.
Lady Gaga will be replacing star act, Beyonce who had to pull our due to her pregnancy. His name has also been removed from the official lineup on the concert website.
Reasons for this remain unknown but we’ll be sure to dish the scoop as soon as we get them.
