Tekno’s show at The ‘Wave Concert’ in Kenya last Saturday was a flop due to confusion between the singer’s live band and the DJ.
The ‘Wave Concert’ was held at the Ngong Racecourse Waterfront garden in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital. The DJ and the live band had reportedly played their sounds simultaneously during his performance causing a clash of sounds. Tekno was reported to have lip-synced all through his performance leaving his fans and show-goers unsatisfied.
The hitmaker reportedly kept on screaming: “I love you, Nairobi” into the microphone instead of performing his songs. The singer had also allegedly kept his fans waiting for several hours as he slept in his hotel room. When he eventually arrived at the venue, he came with an entourage of dancers and strippers.
Meanwhile, Kenyan YouTuber, Jeff Koinange, has expressed his disappointment in the Nigerian stars conduct at the concert. He described Tekno’s conduct as unprofessional, while calling out other Nigerian musicians as well.
Gotta say this again, the failure at Big Square was TOTALLY on Tekno, the guy ain't professional. Big Square tried everything yani…

Koinange said that Kenyan artists were often less paid than Nigerian artists who would often perform below expectations.
These guys know Kenya pays Naija Musicians like 10 times what they are paid back home and Kenyans don't mind crappy performances.

I weep for my Country..How I pray to see the day when we don't worship Naija music and given crap by people like Tekno. Support Kenyan Music

Can you compare Tekno's performance to the one Davido did in Nairobi some times back? Am disappointed
— Joan Nicole (@JoanNicole6) September 10, 2017
Haha, All Tekno did was shouting "I love you Nairobi"
