British-Nigerian movie star, John Boyega, has revealed that Wizkid’s 2017 hit song, “Daddy Yo”, will be part of the official soundtracks for the upcoming movie, “Pacific Time 2”.
The actor made this known during the Special screening of his latest movie, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”, at IMAX cinema, Lekki, on Monday December 25, 2017.
Boyega said the inclusion of Wizkid’s “Daddy Yo” was an effort to incorporate a Nigerian feel to the film.
“And also we contacted Wizkid and we were like ‘we need to use one of your songs for a film’, and so we got ‘Daddy Yo’ on the track of the film” he shared with the audience.
According to a Pulse report, he said while it was important to have a “high class, larger than life, IMAX 3D picture” it was also important that there were noticeable Nigerian influenced on the movie.
