Jidenna just signed deals with record labels Epic Records, Sony Music West Africa and Sony Music South Africa which are all subsidiaries of Sony Music Entertainment.
The Classic Man will be touring Nigeria and South Africa for a series of exclusive performances, album release parties and the filming of a BBC documentary, which will chronicle his homecoming journey to Nigeria. The tour is to promote his debut album.
The tour will kick off this month and his first port of call will be Lagos, Nigeria. He would be having an exclusive album launch event featuring a live performance at Hard Rock Café in Lagos; then grant interviews with top radio stations and lifestyle publications in the country as well as film an exclusive documentary that will be produced by BBC International and True Africa, about his journey back to his childhood home in Enugu.
After this, he would head to Johannesburg ,South Africa where he would repeat the process, except for the visiting his childhood home part of course.
This is one tour we’re definitely looking forward to.
