Jaywon has remarked that he is now better able to tolerate critical comments on social media than he was last year.
The singer remarked, during an interview with HipTV, that reactions to bad comments by fans on social media is often dependent on the individual at the receiving end.
He said that he would usually block people who make negative comments on his posts before, disclosing that he has blocked up to a hundred people for their harsh remarks in the past.
Jaywon said that he started to change the way he reacted to these comments because he was growing older.
“I remember around last year I actually went back and unblock almost hundred people that I blocked a long time ago. Because as you grow you learn. As you grow you realise that there are some things you did before that you actually don’t need to”. He remarked.
He also opined that most of the fans who make nasty comments online did so because it was how they felt about the artist.
“I can remember some guy sent me a nasty comment message. It was actually somehow to me. Then I was like ‘Okay, thank you, I’m gonna check myself on what you said’. And the guy quoted the tweet again and said ‘are you sure you are not angry?’ And I said ‘no no, I’m not, it’s what you think about me and I will work on it'”.
