Music fans have not heard from Iyanya in a while. The singer was affiliated with Mavin Records at some point. After a good 2017, he soon drifted off again.
But the artist is back. And he says for the time he was away, he was simply recording.
Iyanya tells Bolanle Olukanni on The Juice he may have made a little tweak to his sound during his hiatus.
“The reason why people are wondering how his new sound is gonna be is because I have not put out so much in a while,” Iyanya says in the interview.
In fact, the Kukere Master has an extended play [Rebirth] in the works.
On the upcoming project, he got support from some of his contemporaries. Although, he did not mention the names of the collaborators.
“But I have not been quiet too. I have not been quiet just doing nothing. I have been recording. My EP is coming out. It is called the Rebirth EP. A lot of collaborations on there with my colleagues.”
The artist did not hint at a possible released date for the project, but there is a possibility of a second quarter release.
