Alter Plate, Harrysong‘s new record label has responded to the latest allegations leveled against him by Five Star Music. The management stated clearly that Harrysong was never arrested as was being peddled but rather was invited for questioning by the Assistant Inspector General of Police in Onikan, Lagos.

They attended the meeting and was met by a lawyer representing Harrysong’s former label. The lawyer supposedly was unable to defend the petition tendered and show why the suit should be criminal rather than civil if it amounts to a breach of contract.

The management also stated in very clear terms that Harrysong never approached Five Star Music to be signed to their label rather, it is Kcee who approached him pleading with him to sign up with the label and help him save his dying career.

On the allegation that the company wasted money signing Harry as they had to pay off Kevin Luciano of Questionmark Records with whom he had an existing contract at the time he joined Five Star, Alter Plate clarified that Five Star wanted him at all cost and didn’t mind paying off the QMark boss.

His management also claimed that he wrote most of the songs which helped Kcee‘s career stay above water such as ‘Okpekete’ ‘Limpopo’, ‘Pull Over’ and others. They then advised the public to ignore the warning to not engage in business with Alterplate.

This is no doubt messy business and we expect a rejoinder from Five Star Music.
