Multi-talented Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, well-known as “Falz” will star as a Nigerian billionaire in an American drama series, “Church”, following a deal with BLK Prime.
According to a The Cable report, BLK Prime is a worldwide subscription video on demand (SVOD) service funded by Silicon Valley EFC Investment Group.
The deal is a multi-season deal and would see Falz star as “William Randolph Church”, a billionaire in the drama.
“I am so excited to introduce my character, Church, to audiences around the world and to be a part of BLK PRIME’s mission of offering diverse streaming entertainment worldwide,” Falz said of the deal.
A statement by the senior vice-president of BLK Prime, Scott Scherer, confirmed that the role would be different from Falz’s past efforts.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Falz. With millions of fans around the world and nearly 3 million Instagram followers, Falz has proven to be a gifted performer with the ability to captivate an audience,” he said.
“Church is a complex character that will showcase Falz in a way audiences have never seen him before.”
The movie is expected to premiere worldwide before the end of June 2018.
