Falz has confirmed that he has more controversial and conscious music to release this year. This statement is coming following the waves of reaction that trailed his “This Is Nigeria” single.

The rapper said in an interview with Channels TV that in spite of the controversies that trailed the song, he would still continue to make music of that nature.

Falz had drawn criticism from several bodies including MURIC for featuring girls on Hijab dancing Shaku Shaku and his portrayal of Fulani in the video.
“Right now I’m making a lot of controversial music,” Falz said.
“It’s always going to be like that, people are always going to get angry when you make that sort of music but those stories need to be told.
“People need to hear our voices; our voices need to be projected in the positive direction as artists.
“It is something I will continue to do, I’m working on a fully conscious album which is dropping very soon.”
