A former member of the defunct P-Square duo, Peter Okoye has won his first solo award. Peter Okoye now performs as Mr. P.
Mr. P was named best international male artiste at the 2018 edition of the International Achievement Recognition Awards (IARA).
The award ceremony held on Saturday at the Hilton Hotel in London, UK.
“This is just the beginning,” Mr. P wrote in an Instagram post while announcing the news of the victory.
“My very first award as a solo act! You guys made this happen. Slow and steady but surely! God is great.”
The singer was nominated for the category alongside Davido, Diamond Platnumz, Cassper Nyovest, Medikal, Black Coffee, among others.
He went ahead to win the best international male artiste category.
