Legendary Highlife artiste, Dr Victor Olaiya has retired from live performances. His management made this information available to Vanguard Newspapers citing health reasons.
The maestro used to perform weekly at Stadium Hotel in Surulere before his health forced him to retire.
Dr Victor is popular for his hit ‘Baby Jowo’ which was remixed in 2013 by Tubaba. He was also briefly signed to his Hypertek Records.
Over the course of his career, Dr Olaiya released over 26 projects over the course of his life from the late 1950s up to 2012.
