A host of Nigerians doing music are now branching out to acting and moviemaking. Renowned disc jockey, DJ Jimmy Jatt is the latest one to make similar move.
HIPTV reports recently that DJ Jimmy Jatt is now finding a his own place in the Nigerian movie industry.
The DJ would not be acting however, he would play more behind the scenes role.
“Not in acting, but behind the scenes,” He told HIPTV in an interview.
He said the movie has already been shot, although he has no idea when it would be released.
“I shot a movie sometimes ago. Hopefully, that might just come out and if it doesn’t come out…”
Jimmy Jatt praised Nollywood for the quality of movies the industry has been putting over the years.
He said there is an obvious growth in the industry since it first became an entire industry in the early 90s.
Jatt is renowned for his extensive contribution to Nigerian hip-hop since the early 2000s.
The DJ joins the likes of Banky W, Vector and Seyi Shay who have all branched out to the movie industry.
