DJ Cuppy’s interview on Lagos radio station, City 105.1 FM has got a lot of people talking. It is her noncommittal stance to feminism that has set the conversation rolling.

The renowned DJ unsurprisingly came under fire from Twitter users and women’s right folk for the state.

DJ Cuppy noted that she is in a male-dominated industry and that has caused her to “water down” to fit in.

“I deal with men on a day-to-day basis and I have realized that they will always think better than women,” Cuppy stated in the interview.

The DJ said she used to identify as a feminist, but she dropped the tag when she realised she did not understand the concept.

“I used to consider myself as a feminist until I realized that I did not really understand it. People are out there speaking about women’s right and behind closed doors they are doing crazy things. I won’t come out as a feminist because I am in a male dominated industry.
