According to reports from TMZ, BEAT FM boss Chris Ubosi and his company, Megalectrics, are suing Rihanna over a 2013 concert that never happened.
Ubosi, whose company owns BeatFM, Classic FM, Naija FM, says he struck a deal with 2 people who claimed to represent the international act as well as her record company Roc Nation owned by Jay Z. The sum to be paid to her for a 65 minutes performance was $425,000. Rihanna insists that she never received any such sum nor was she contacted by Megalectrics. Her people believe Ubosi is a victim of a scam.
The show was supposed to hold in May, 2013 and according to Chris Ubosi he made 3 payments, totaling $160k after which Riri’s camp asked to postpone the show. Ubosi says he agreed, but only if Rihanna posted the new date on social media.
In his lawsuit, he claims that she never did that so her appearance for the show was cancelled and the promoters demanded their money back. Ubosi who never got the money back is now suing Rihanna, Jay Z and Roc Nation.
