Davido Receives Platinum And Diamond Plaques From RiSA For Hit Songs “Fall” And “IF”

Davido’s 2017 hit singles, “Fall” and “If”, have received platinum and diamond and certifications respectively from RiSA.

The singles were awarded after reaching the sales tally since their release. According to Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA), singles are required to sell 10,000 copies to be certified gold, and 20,000 copies to be certified platinum; multi-platinum awards increase by 20,000 units.

RiSA doesn’t have an official diamond certification, but being that the RIAA and similar bodies certify 10 x platinum as diamond, this would mean that “Fall” has sold over 10,000 units and “If” 200,000 units.

Each of the singles also stayed on the number one spot on the SA charts for nine weeks straight. On his trip to SA, Davido also received plaques for his MTV EMA and MOBO awards victory last year.
