US rapper, Nas, has asked that Chocolate City’s suit against him be dismissed.
According to a Guardian report, Nas claimed that he had fulfilled the obligations stated in his contract with the label.
MI and Chocolate City had sued Nas for $1million USD last year after the rapper balked on an agreement to deliver a verse on MI’s single, “Man”.
Nas’s verse was meant to include the lines: “M.I, Chocolate City, Nigeria, Queens, New York, Mandela, Trayvon Martin and the struggles of Africans and African Americans” but it did not, MI alleged.
The rapper insisted that he had sent the verse with those particular lines and that everything else that happened after was the fault of Chocolate City Records.
