Rapper, Baseone, has suggested that award organisers should stop using “efforts” as the basis for issuing prizes to artistes.
According to an HIPTV report, the artiste said organisers should also consider the reception of the song by music audience, too.
He said that access to music should be one of the key yardsticks used to recommend songs for awards.
He also said that the recognition artistes get from award organisers meant that their works were being recognised.
“And this encourages us to do more.” He said.
