D’Banj’s former manager, Bankulli has recalled how he introduced the singer to Kanye West.
The music executive was on DJ Abass’s #ForTheRecord when he made the recollection.
Bankulli Osha said Kanye West did not listen to D’Banj’s music before connecting with the star.
“He didn’t even listen to the music,” Osha recalled the incident.
“He looked at D’Banj’s t-shirt. He said he loved the curve on the t-shirt. A night before when we got the t-shirt for him at Dubai Mall, D’banj had refused to wear it.”
Bankulli said D’banj had protested against wearing that kind of t-shirt.
In fact, he threw the t-shirt away and had to be convinced to wear it before he agreed to do so, the former manager confirmed.
