Controversial US rapper, Azealia Banks likes Tiwa Savage’s and Nigerian music. And she has made this known in an unsettling way.
The singer did a series of post on her Instastory to acknowledge the quality of Tiwa Savage’s post.
“Can you guys recommend more music from Naija? I love Tiwa Savage,” Azealia Banks wrote in one of such posts.
She then went further to describe Tiwa Savage as the daughter of Sango and Osun, adding that “she seems sane enough to not be Yemaya’s child.”
Banks was apparently trying to liken Tiwa Savage’s musical dexterity to a god-level, even though her comparison was badly put.
The US star said she was delighted to know that a female African pop star is making music that thrives.
“I want more music like this. Seeing an African female pop star gives me some different kind of confident, positive vibe. [It] feels like sunshine.”
