Blackface has been served a Writ of Summons by 2baba’s manager, Efe Omoregbe just a few days ago after several years of claiming he wrote 2baba’s smash single, “African Queen”.
“African Queen” was released when 2baba was still 2face and Blackface has not stopped to claim credit for the song.
The writ of summons was made available to the public by Blackface himself via his Instagram timeline on Wednesday.
Blackface is being sued for ₦50 million, according to court papers filed at a Lagos High Court, Ikeja and stamped by the executive officer of the high court, Aro Nofisat.
In the Writ, 2baba and his manager, Efe Omoregbe are the two claimants while Blackface has to go prove himself in the face of the court.
“They claiming I didn’t write ‘Let Somebody Love You” & “African Queen” and what else?” Blackface wrote in a caption to his post revealing the lawsuit on Instagram.
Blackface said he and his legal team are ready to prepare a defence against 2baba and his manager in court.
“Just about time, me and my legal team filed for my defence.”
Blackface’s next album, Rising Sun would be released after seeing his legal battle through in court.
