Naira Marley continues to be a problem, depending on how you want to see it. Even though he sometimes get sticks from many, it’s been carrots for him especially from the Marlians, who Naira really cares about.

On his new song “Bad Influence“, Naira Marley takes the same controversial posture many people know him for since the release of “Am I A Yahoo Boy?”

“Bad Influence” is a not so hard jab at the government and Naira’s critics. The artist believes government should focus more on pressing things than him.

Naira wants weed to be legalised. He raps against the government’s seeming support of the importation of cigarettes while banning marijuana.

In Naira Marley’s world, weed is a local product dying at the mercy of the foreign cigarette products.

Sometimes Naira’s politics can be so simplistic and easy to understand. Most times, it gets so complicated that you can’t seem to connect the dots.

The latter is the feeling Naira’s “Bad Influence” leaves one with.

“Bad Influence” is a direct response to people who called the rapper a bad influence on the youths.
