New song: Rudeboy Reason With Me.
Rudeboy is still working hard to find his real solo hit. He has churned out singles consistently since 2018. While they were good, they never got to the next level. His latest effort “Reason with me” continues that search.
The singer tells the story of a love affair gone bad on “Reason with me”. The flavour of the song is in its storytelling, a style known to be Ruddy’s fort.
Rudeboy sings about a love interest that left him because he did not have money. “Reason with me”, he sings, letting the interest know tomorrow holds a huge promise for him.
No one quite know if he did accomplish the promise in the end. But it is sure the love interest would’ve heard the same story over and over again from other men.
If the love interest found Rudeboy’s promise to be banal and watery, surely, it means that the audience might also find the theme Ruddy chose to address as prosaic too.
Asides its thematic flaw, the gbedu may still enter body for people who are going through similar phase as the singer on this song.
