Ghanaian producer, Juls has a significant effect on Nigerian music. His influence transcends the growing underground scene to the mainstream.
The producer has a new album titled Colour out already. Colour follows up his last two works Leaps of Faith and Ojekoo EP.
“Morning World! My new project #COLOURTAPE is out NOW on all major platforms. Have a listen and let me know what you think, share with a friend and show some love,” Juls announced on Twitter.
Colour has 11 tracks ranging from hip-hop, jazz, highlife and grime.
Juls opens the project with the highlife-backed “Nyafu Riddim” featuring Worlasi.
The other songs on the project include “Normal”, “Like Tu Danz”, “Angelina”, and “Radar”.
Mr Eazi appears on “Cake” while “Sweetie Odo”, “Slow Down”, “No lie” and “Maayaa” make up the rest of the number.
Falz, Kida Kudz and Oxlade are the other Nigerians who appear on the project.
Juls also enlists Kojey Radical, Sway Clarke, Knucks, Xamvolo, Che Lingo, Agent Sasco, Big Zeeks, Sweetie Irie, Tiggs Da Author and more on the project.
Juls is one of the best curators of African music. In fact, whether anyone does it better than him is wildly questionable. His latest addition to his growing discography is a colourful blend of sounds from African, mostly Nigeria and Ghana.
