Nigerian rappers have suddenly found their voices and it’s a good thing. The man behind this whole thing is Blaqbonez, but it’d be rather simplistic to directly link it to ‘Bonez alone. Anyways, today the beef has dovetailed into a multi-interest one, with many artists now latching on it for their own benefit or simply to clear their names. The latest artist to be dragged into it is Dremo and that’s courtesy of Davolee who released a multi-target track called “Giveaway” earlier this week.
Dremo has responded to that song with his own diss track called “Scapegoat”. While the track doesn’t sound like it’s worth frothing in the mouth for, it’s sustained conversation around the rap scene in Nigeria, just like the songs before it.
“Scapegoat” has a line about picking beans and all that, which doesn’t quite help advance the track’s purpose.
