Davido the OBO is off to record a new album.
You will not be able to reach Davido by phone from next month, May. Except you decide to call his personal assistant, Lati.
Lati, the personal assistant first shot into prominence last year after a fan of OBO called him out for not following the singer’s directive.
The singer announced on Instagram recently that he would be putting his phone away. However, the decision doesn’t take effect until the end of the month.
By putting away his phone, he would be able to focus on recording his album.
The announcement confirmed that the singer is serious about the album(s) he hinted at during his US media tour last month.
“Everybody that has been trying to reach me on my phone, WhatsApp or whatsoever,” Davido said in a short video he posted on Instagram recently.
“I’ve decided to go phone for the next month just so I can finish my album and focus on other things. So if you’re trying to reach me, call Lati.”
It is unclear how long the singer will do away with his phone. But indications are hinting at only a couple of days before he becomes reachable by phone again.
