Has anybody ever died in your arms on a hospital bed before? Right, me neither. But I’d imagine its frantic at times, emotional, painful and confusing, and then a hideous calm descends upon the room when you realize that the life support system has flatlined.

A little pressure, a little harder

Could you hurry? It’s an emergency

R&B singer Oyinda tries to recreate that exact same feeling on her song “Flatline” as she describes the feeling of wanting someone. At times she’s frantic, like the scene in an emergency room, and at other times, her voice moves over the beat with a casual stroll reminiscent of Aaliyah. It’s a style she’s making her own.

Oyinda is an amazing R&B singer out in the U.K., who is fascinated with dark themes, mystic and anime. She released an EP titled Restless Mind earlier in the year and “Flatline” was featured on there. Get familiar.
