MI has always sought creative ways to release new music – whether it’s presenting his second studio album MI2 as a soundtrack to a motion picture or creating one of the most imaginative tracklists (with the reverse song titles) for his third studio album Chairman, the roll out, presentation and the music are usually treated as part of the same creative experience.

The Choc Boss is gearing up for the release of a batch of new songs in 2017. Having contributed to a couple of singles on the airwaves this year, all is now set for some solo MI music. A few days ago, he put up a cryptic message featuring a cover art of him in a hat with a butterfly resting on his left shoulder. The internet went wild with speculation about what the new cover art meant but now it’s becoming clearer – MI is ready with a new project almost a year after Illegal Music 3: The Finale.

Having rounded up the Illegal Music series, MI’s new project is titled the Love EP and he wants a select few fans to listen, so the rapper is putting together a ‘secret’ performance for it.

MI alluded to the fact that the secret performance will be at the Lagos Theatre Festival 2017 scheduled to hold between February 28 and March 5th. The festival will be held over 16 venues spread round the city, get more information here.

MI is also scheduled to perform at the One Africa Music Fest, London Edition to be held on 13th, May, 2017. The show will be staged at the SSE Arena, Wembley Stadium. From the look of things, MI will have new music to perform to the London crowd by then – get excited!

As for the exact date when the Love EP project will be released to the public, that’s still a secret.
