Illbliss isn’t done promoting his last studio album Illygati:7057, you can read our review here. The veteran rapper has just released a remix of “Counting my Money”, which is riddled with his trademark floss raps and boss talk. The message is clear, the sound of the money counter flipping the naira notes is louder than Oga Boss’ haters. The song was lifted off the rapper’s 4th solo project and it features a chorus from the guy who has the biggest song in the country at the moment in Runtown. Coincidence?
Runtown has been in the news for the wrong reason lately, reportedly sleeping with the fiancee of a show promoter in Accra. The singer hasn’t said much about the allegations but the chorus of “Alhaji” gives you an indication that his fascination with Ghana didn’t start with “Mad Over You”.
Alhaji, na wetin your girlfriend dey call me..
Ohemaa give me shitor make I chop oh, kill me
But maybe it’s more of a fascination with Ghana than with Ghanaian women, recall on “Gallardo” he said –
Shey them say I buy mansion for Tema
Tema is a small district inside of Accra. But this isn’t about Runtown at all, it’s about Illbliss, a rapper making all the right moves to continue to remain on top of the rap game. It’s a strategy that he’s mastered and reused to deadly effect over the years. Winning his first Headies award as a solo performer last year was a brilliant way to crown the rapper’s efforts and longevity.
@MI_Abaga appreciate You always M! Thank you for being a huge believer of my art and efforts. God giveth all… Never ever Man

Illbliss isn’t resting on his laurels either, with “Jawon Laya” continuing to do well on the charts, “Alhaji” could very well be a follow-up. There’s a reason why Illbliss been able to remain relevant tin the rap game for almost 13 years and it isn’t just because he has bars.
