Parkinson’s law contains one of my favorite principles – work expands to fill the time available for it. So when a gifted, part-time MC (Lord V), a respected lyricist from out of town (Boogey) and a busy rapper/producer/videographer/photographer (Beazy) have a few hours to record a song and shoot a video for it, guess what they did? Recorded a song and shot a video for it!

The product is “They Wanna Know”, Beazy’s first release since “Illest” featuring Pherowshuz a short time ago. That song was a light tap, now it seems like one of the most famous rappers of the social media era in the early day is finally ready to apply real pressure to the rap game once again.

In the video for “They Wanna Know”, the Abuja-based MC rides through the streets of his city after 9 o’clock in cool weather, while everyone wonders how he’s able to juggle his 400 or so jobs without being Mexican.

They wanna know how I stay on my grind

How I hustle all the time

I could say that it’s money on my mind

But I’d be lying

Okay, so at least we know one thing about Beazy, he doesn’t do it for the money. He calls up two other MC’s who are known to get busy on the microphone, no pun intended, Lord V and Boogey to collaborate on the new record. Lord V took the first verse, while Boogey wrapped the song up. On Instagram, Beazy later shared a story about how the 3 MC’s were able to tidy up the entire record in under 24 hours, including Lord V having to write his verse in 20 minutes.

Madness.

Expect more music from Beazy, expect more from all 3 of the MC’s actually, but Beazy, in particular. He is making a come back.
