Drake and Wizkid have found a musical union that makes sense and, with the success of “One Dance”, makes cents too. One of the collabos between the artists has made its way online, the song is called “Hush Up the Silence”. It’s a Caribbean dance record with strong Afrocentric vibes. Thankfully, Wizkid has a greater contribution to the record than he did on “One Dance”, Starboy takes the first verse.
Me number 1 inna me city oh /
Me steady representing for me city oh /
African boy, me rep my team oh /
Me come clean like me coming in my video
Drake comes afterward, assuming his irresistible West Indian persona on the record and teasing that one f*ck isn’t going to get his girl to hold him, they just have to go twice.
Tell me your secrets, I’m not messy/
Steady it for me, girl, hold steady
Wiz is currently working on his forthcoming LP Sounds From the Other Side but recently also revealed plans to release 4 projects in 2017. Drake’s More Life album should drop sometime soon though, no word yet on where this record will end.
