Davido claimed he sold out the iconic O2 Arena in London. People said no, he did not.
A few hours after Davido made the claim, one showgoer on Twitter refuted it.
This lady even showed receipts; a video of an entirely empty part of the O2.
Another person would debunk it too, saying the video was made before the event actually started.
The Guardian UK also reported, in an article published on the 28th of January, that Davido only managed to “nearly sold out” the iconic venue.
Therefore, it became more believable that truly, Davido’s performance at the 20,000 capacity venue was not sold out.
Did Davido “sold out” the O2 Arena?
Since Sunday evening, efforts have been on to verify the singer’s claim to having sold out the venue.
So, it’s been an entire affair of refutations and counter-refutation.
Meanwhile, Davido has now issued a response to that effect.
In the response posted Thursday, the singer had shown an email enquiry sent to the managers of the venue on his page.
The enquirer, identified simply as Ola, had asked if Davido’s show on Sunday was sold out.
The handlers of the O2 had responded shortly that “yes, it was.”
The singer has now challenged himself to sell out the Madison Square Garden next.
