The numbers are in and Wizkid’s Sounds From The Other Side didn’t chart on Billboard in its first week of release. Sounds From the Other Side is Wizkid’s major label debut but it’s also his third solo project in six years. The EP is the Afropop singer’s official introduction to tens of thousands of new fans around the world.
So far, the project seems to be struggling to connect with the US audience, failing to chart on either the Billboard Hot 200 albums or the Billboard Heatseekers charts. There are unconfirmed reports that the project sold just over 3,106 physical copies in the US.These numbers are modest, especially when you consider that the project wasn’t given a huge push in America and Wizkid also didn’t do a lot of press Stateside in the week leading to its release.
However, the EP did make it on the UK Albums chart, debuting at #91 and it made it up to several iTunes charts around the world. The EP was released on 14th July, 2017 and contained a stellar line up of guests including Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songs, Drake and Major Lazer.

SFOS debuted at the #107 spot on the Top 200 charts, having reportedly sold just over 3,106 physical copies. It also debuted at #14 on Billboards R&B Albums, #14 on the Digital Album charts and #47 on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts.
