Iyanya is on a media tour talking about his time with Made Men Music Group, a record label he “co-owned” with Ubi Franklin.

The Kukere Master had also spoken about the incident during an interview with Bolanle Olukanni on The Juice.

Iyanya left MMMG to join Mavin in 2016 following a little disagreement between him and Ubi Franklin.

Not much is known about that incident, but almost five years after the parties involved are now willing to spill it out.

Ubi Franklin had allegedly deceived Iyanya to think he owned part of Triple MG, as the label is also called.

Apparently, in all the documents related to settlements and ownership, Iyanya’s name was not there.

“When I said it was darkness, I was not myself anymore because I felt like there was no trust anymore,” Iyanya Mbuk said in the interview.

“Because at the time I was singing I co-owned Made Men with Ubi but I later realized that my name was not in any of the forms I signed… and I was broken… and that was the beginning of me just saying to hell with everything.”

Iyanya reportedly should own 400,000 units of shares in the company registered as “Made Men Music and Management Limited”.

However, Iyanya alleged that it did not happen.

“What people don’t know is, I didn’t sell my share. People see me and say oh. why did you sell your share? I didn’t sell my shares, I left Made Men at the time because there was so much darkness. In the midst of all the wings, I decided to let that go.”

Meanwhile, Ubi Franklin has rebuffed Iyanya’s claim that he was cheated out of ownership of the company.

Franklin also provided to back up his claim that Iyanya was deliberately spreading falsehood.

In a now deleted Instagram post, Ubi Franklin uploaded photos of the settlement terms and other contracts binding the partnership.

“Always wait for both sides of the story to call people names,” Ubi Franklin wrote in the post.

He went further to outrightly say Iyanya was lying to make himself look good to the world.

Franklin has since promised to reveal more details about the issue in an interview.
