Fast-rising musician, Slimcase is trying to get a record deal. But not from an inexperienced and disreputable label.

The street music singer explained in an interview with PlanetradioTV that he intends to sign for a label that knows its onions.

Otunba Lamba, who noted that some record companies only wanted to get money, said he does not have all the time to engage such labels.

“I want to sign with a record label that has adequate information about what they are doing. You know, there are some record labels that [just have access to the money] you understand.”

Saint Sami Ganja stated that in most cases, record labels like that are just existing without direction.

“Imagine being signed under Mavin records, Starboy: All those people have been there; they have the experience; they know how to manage an artist. Apart from all this [regular] labels that just called themselves ‘Johnson Records’.” He said.

“[They’d] drag you to court and be talking about the shoes they bought you: ‘You bought me a shoe, after that one shoe, you didn’t give me anything else.’ Is that why we’re here?”

Slimcase explained that he does not intend to stay too long in the industry. He wants to stay only four years, and then clear out after.

“I want to use four years in the music industry. Four years, receive blessing and move on.”
