Skales and his manager Osagie Osarenkhoe popularly known as This Metal Chic have been accused of fraud by Baseline Records which Skales is currently signed to.
The record label alleged that they defrauded the company of the N13,374,000 in the past 12 months by not remitting monies made from performance at shows and other events. This is as contained in a petition addressed to the Inspector General of Police.
According to the petition, Skales entered a 5 year contractual relationship with the company, in the duration of which the company shall be entitled to 70% of gross receipts received by Skales from performance and tours and brand endorsements while the contract subsists.
This is the latest case in artistes who are currently battling their record labels over contracts which are slavish in nature.
