As more Nigerians have begun demanding improved stage performances from Nigerian musicians, a lot of artists have started taking real efforts to step up their game. Live band performances are now more obtain(able) than ever. Singer, Seyi Shay believes that this type of performance is “more fulfilling” for the artist.
The singer stated on PlanetRadioTV recently that she and her band, Breaking From Above, were trained specifically for live shows.
She said while performances with bands can be tiresome, it gives the most fulfillment.
“I think that artists that perform live always have the more fulfilling show. But I don’t knock people that don’t perform live. Sometimes it’s not too easy for them to do that.”
Seyi Shay said due to the extensive experience she has had, performing live and with a band has now become a part of her.
“When I perform live it becomes a part of me. It’s a part of me.”
Seyi Shay is gearing towards the release of her EP, Electric Package.
