NBC Places Broadcast Bans On “Gbese”, “Shakiti Bobo” and Others

The Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) has once again placed a ban on certain songs in an attempt to stop them from being played on Nigerian television and radio stations. Citing lewdness and debauchery, the organization has placed its ‘Not to be Broadcast’ label on the following songs –

Olamide – “Shakiti Bobo”, “Falila Ketan”, “Don’t stop”
Lil Kesh – “Gbese”
May D – “Ibadi”
Reminisce – “Tesojue”
Naeto C ft. D’banj, – “Tony Montana”
Phyno – “Yayo”
Wizkid – “In My Bed”
Iyanya ft. Don Jazzy – “Gift”

The ban covers terrestrial television and radio stations but doesn’t extend to websites, cable and satellite channels and event venues.
